The Anti-Addiction Fund organizes awareness activities to support those in recovery

The Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Abuse organized a series of festive awareness activities on the occasion of the New Year within the “Al Azimah” centers. affiliated with the Fund. This initiative comes within the framework of the Fund’s keenness to provide protection and support programs for those recovering from addiction, with the aim of helping them maintain their recovery and prevent relapse.

In preparation for the celebrations, those recovering from addiction designed a Christmas tree and Santa Claus figures inside the training workshops of the centers. Determination.

 These workshops represent an essential part of the work therapy program that is implemented in accordance with international standards in rehabilitation centers for addiction patients.

They are awareness activities that The Fund organizes it during holidays and events as part of preventive protection programs, as studies confirm that holiday periods and official holidays represent very dangerous times for those who have recovered and whose recovery is not complete.  Research shows high rates of abuse during these periods, making it a major cause of relapse. In order to protect those recovering, the Fund postpones the discharge of patients receiving treatment within centers and hospitals if their discharge coincides with the holidays, to avoid potential risks, and to support them psychologically and morally to ensure the continuity of their recovery.
