Calling all Star Wars fans! The teaser trailer for the second season of arguably the best Star Wars TV show, Andor has finally landed. The action-packed glimpse into the next chapter of the series has got us all buzzing like a lightsaber.
Here are all the details we know so far.
Who’s cast in Andor Season 2?
Diego Luna returns as Cassian Andor, looking as determined as ever to stick it to the Empire. He’s joined by Stellan Skarsgård as Luthen Rael and Genevieve O’Reilly as the ever-composed Mon Mothma.
Forest Whitaker is back as the slightly unhinged Saw Gerrera, and we’re getting some fresh faces from Rogue One. Ben Mendelsohn is joining the party as the Empire’s favourite baddie, Orson Krennic, and Alan Tudyk‘s sarcastic AF droid K-2SO is finally making an appearance.
As Tony Gilroy, the show’s creator, puts it: “One of the great thrills of making Andor is the scale of the story and the number of characters we’re able to meet — ordinary people, Imperial overlords, passionate revolutionaries,” per Disney+. And boy, does this cast deliver on that promise.
What’s the plot for Andor Season 2?
If you didn’t know, Andor is the prequel to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, set five years before the film’s events. Season two picks up a couple of years after season one, with the rebellion against the Empire well underway. We’re not just talking about a few disgruntled citizens here, this is full-blown, galaxy-wide resistance.
Cassian is set to be a key layer in the Rebel Alliance.
Gilroy teases: “Cassian’s journey is the soul and spine of our story, but it’s the choir that makes the show. I’m so excited for audiences to see where we go in season two.”
And if you’re worried about it being boring, don’t be. Disney+ said, “Everyone will be tested and, as the stakes rise, the betrayals, sacrifices and conflicting agendas will become profound.”

Is there a relase date for Andor Season 2?
Circle April 23 on your calendar, because that’s when Andor Season 2 hits Disney+. The season is 12 episodes altogether and they’re dropping the first three episodes on day one, then three more each week for the next three weeks.
