President of the Republic of Estonia,
I express my pleasure in receiving Your Excellency… on your first official visit to Egypt, at the bilateral level… a visit that reflects the keenness of the two countries… to Strengthening their relations during the coming period… and investing in all possible opportunities… to reach broader horizons of cooperation.
Ladies and Gentlemen..
The discussions What I conducted today, with His Excellency President Karis, confirmed the consensus of visions on the importance of intensifying joint work to strengthen bilateral relations between our two friendly countries, in addition to our desire to deepen our economic, commercial and investment relations, which reflects the keenness of His Excellency The President… to accompany a delegation of Estonian businessmen and investors… to explore opportunities for cooperation… especially in the sectors of energy and mining…
Education and food industries… as an example of the growing cooperation… in the field of communications, information technology and transformation. Digital… in which Estonia has distinguished expertise.
There was also agreement… during our discussions today… on the importance of maintaining the regularity of holding rounds of political consultations and technical visits Between the two countries… to give the necessary impetus to relations in various fields… and to discuss multiple areas of cooperation… including technical training, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity… and we also discussed ways to enhance tripartite cooperation in Africa… in a way that achieves the common interest of all parties.
The discussions stressed the importance of exchanging experiences… in the files of combating terrorism and organized crime… including the smuggling of illegal immigrants… and I, for my part, welcomed the continued support of friendly Estonia… for the priority files. Regarding Egypt… within the institutions of the European Union.

Regional issues and international files were strongly present… during my discussions with His Excellency the President of Estonia… The Palestinian issue came at the forefront of the regional files… which I discussed with His Excellency… because Egypt considers it the core of the region’s issues… as it reviewed the tireless Egyptian efforts… to stop the unjustified and continuing Israeli escalation in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon… and its expansion… The scope of the Israeli attacks, to include Yemen and Syria… and stressed the importance of concerted efforts… to reach an immediate ceasefire… and prevent the region from sliding into a large-scale regional war… and the importance of establishing a sovereign Palestinian state… on the lines of June 4, 1967… as a stone The cornerstone for achieving stability in the Middle East region. And the security of the Red Sea… and the Russian-Ukrainian crisis… and the issues of food security and energy security… where we agreed on the importance of intensifying international efforts to deal with these crises… and the necessity of reaching peaceful solutions… regarding the existing conflicts… and consolidating peace and stability.
In conclusion, I once again express my pleasure in receiving you, His Excellency President Kares. I also renew my aspiration to strengthen the bonds of cooperation between the two countries, and to continue exchanging views…on regional and international issues.
