Tens of thousands of people have been evacuated from a number of localities in Boulder County, Colorado, due to intense wildfires, the spread of which is amplified by strong winds, according to the US National Weather Service on Twitter.
“Please prepare an evacuation kit containing all important documents and medications in case an evacuation order is issued for your residence,” the notice reads.
The evacuation is from the cities of Louisville, which has a population of about 21 thousand, and Superior, which has a population of about 13 thousand people. These cities are located near the state capital of Colorado, Denver, and have a population of more than 650,000.
