Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 intruder groom Teejay Halkias has seemingly revealed where he and his ‘wife’ Beth Kelly currently stand post-reality TV. Unfortunately, for these two, it looks like the experiment was a flop for this Queensland couple.
We’re finally at the pointy end of season 12 with Final Vows on the horizon. While most of our couples are getting cozy in their established relationships, Teejay and Beth are currently in the trenches following a bombshell confession from the groom during Homestays Week.
To give you a quick recap, Teejay broke Beth’s heart after he couldn’t confirm whether or not he would continue their relationship beyond the show, admitting that he didn’t have that emotional bond with Beth despite being physically intimate with her before Homestays.
During the second last Dinner Party, Beth called out Teejay for his switch, admitting that she was “blindsided” by the revelation. However, things reached boiling point at the final Commitment Ceremony, when Teejay was grilled by the experts for handing her “mixed signals”.
Eventually, it was time to share their final decisions. Beth opted to ‘stay’, while Teejay revealed that he wanted to ‘leave’ the experiment.
With the bride writing ‘stay’, the couple had to remain on MAFS until Final Vows. But honestly, things are not looking too good for the couple as both Beth and Teejay decided to participate in the Final Test, where they went on a date with a potential match.
While neither Beth nor Teejay have confirmed their relationship status beyond the ouch couch, the 28-year-old groom admitted that they’ve kept in touch post-reality TV. However, with the recent episodes revolving around the demise of their ‘marriage’, it appears that Beth might’ve cut her former flame off.
“We’ve been keeping in contact a lot [but] after last week she has stopped communication with me,” Teejay dished to PEDESTRIAN.TV.
“I was driving her home from our Today Show interviews. Her dog passed away and I got her this commemorative thing to put in her apartment to remember her dog. I genuinely care for Beth. But she’s obviously upset with the things that are on the show at the moment and I can’t do much about it unfortunately.”
OOOFT. While it did sound quite promising, it looks like those old, lingering feelings of betrayal and hurt could have resurfaced with the recent episodes of MAFS.
While things might be done, burrito, for Teejay and Beth, the former Big Brother Australia contestant did reveal that he has connected with his ‘Plan B’ match, Tara-Lee Preston, but emphasises that their chats are completely “platonic”.
“We’ve shared text messages. But, I mean, we’re in such an intricate position where we met on — where we probably shouldn’t happen, but there’s nothing,” he shared.
“It’s platonic. Completely platonic.”
That all being said, I will take it as Beth and Teejay are donezo. But like with all MAFS couples and that conundrum, you never know what truly happens until someone comes out with an Instagram / TikTok Live.
