Teaching hospitals discuss medical and societal aspects of obesity at their 2025 annual conference
The General Authority of Hospitals and Educational Institutes holds its annual scientific conference under the title “Obesity… from medicine to society.” During the period from January 13 to 14, 2025, in a hotel in Cairo, under the patronage of A. D. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population.
Dr. Muhammad Mustafa Abdel Ghaffar, Chairman of the Authority, said that this year’s edition of the Authority’s annual conference will have a special flavor, as we celebrate the golden jubilee of the Authority and the 50th anniversary of its establishment in accordance with the Republican Decree issued in 1975. We were also keen that the topic of the conference this year be one of the topics that preoccupies the sector. Health care in Egypt in general, and one of the challenges of the hour that is troubling the state and occupies a significant space in presidential initiatives for all members of society, as obesity and its complications do not only affect the individual, but extend Its effects on the surrounding environment, due to the material and moral burden it represents on the family and society as a whole.
The Chairman of the Commission stated that the conference will discuss all medical aspects of obesity through 50 scientific sessions that include more than 300 lectures, in addition to 15 workshops, in All medical specialties, and the academic hours of the conference were approved by the Egyptian Health Council, so that the participant obtains an accredited certificate with 16 credit hours (CPD/CME) in accordance with CPD standards.
The Chairman of the Authority directed Inviting all those interested in the topic of the conference to attend and participate in this event, as it will discuss topics of interest to all workers in the health field, as well as other groups who wish to obtain the correct information from specialists.
