Taylor Swift’s Most Recent Grammy-Winning Album Is Still Reaching Special Milestones

Taylor Swift is one of the most prolific major musicians in the world. She’s delivered a new album every year or two throughout much of her career, but the singer has really stepped things up lately. Between re-recordings, she’s still managed to drop multiple collections of entirely new material in the past half-decade, and even as she moves on from them relatively quickly, her following doesn’t push past each set nearly as fast.

Midnights, one of Swift’s most recent albums, is on the rise in the U.K. This frame is a special one for the blockbuster, as it reaches a special milestone on a number of tallies at the same time.

Swift’s 2022 project has now lived on the main albums chart in the country for 104 weeks. That’s exactly two years, and it’s far from the superstar’s first effort to make it to that mark.

Midnights is the sixth of Swift’s projects to make it to two years on the list of the most-consumed albums in the United Kingdom. It follows behind 1989 (373 weeks), Lover (252), Folklore (221), Reputation (187), and Evermore (179).

The set isn’t just celebrating hitting that milestone on one chart in the U.K. Midnights has now lived for two years on four different rankings, and it reaches that special number on all of them at the same time. Swift’s massive release is up to 104 frames on the lists of the most-streamed, as well as top-selling and bestselling physical releases as well.

Midnights was another huge global success story for Swift. The album produced smash singles like “Anti-Hero,” “Karma,” and “Lavender Haze,” which all rose on charts in dozens of countries.

The full-length even managed to help Swift make history at the Grammys. The set took home Album of the Year, which is often considered the most prestigious prize. When the title was called out—by Celine Dion, no less—the singer became the first artist to earn that trophy with four different collections, beating a number of legends, such as Frank Sinatra and Paul Simon.

Midnights is one of seven Swift titles present on the U.K.’s most closely watched albums chart. She appears highest with her latest original project, The Tortured Poets Department, which currently keeps at No. 10.
