Taylor Swift sparks rumors she’s ENGAGED as fans spot bizarre detail at bash with Travis Kelce

Taylor Swift has sparked rumors she’s engaged to boyfriend Travis Kelce after fans noticed a bizarre detail in photos from her recent 35th birthday bash.

It all kicked off on Wednesday after Swift’s pal Brittany Mahomes — wife of NFL superstar and Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammate, Patrick Mahomes — shared never-before-seen snaps from the Eras Tour-themed soiree that took place last Friday.

Several photos showed Swift sipping on a cocktail while posing up with Mahomes, their fellow Chiefs WAG Lyndsay Bell and Swift’s close pal Ashley Avignone. 

After closely examining the party shots, one Swiftie, who goes by @lizpwoods on Instagram, pointed out that the singer’s left ring finger looked ‘blurred.’

This sparked a wild theory that Swift may have purposely ‘edited out’ an engagement ring as not to reveal news that Kelce had finally popped the question.

The sleuthing continued as fans also noticed Swift was wearing a red friendship bracelet on her right arm that appeared to be an homage to her NFL star boyfriend.

A deep zoom-in on the bracelet revealed five white letter charms, two of which looked to be a side-by-side ‘C’ and ‘E.’ This was enough for fans to believe that the charms spelled out ‘KELCE.’

‘Hey. Um, guys? Do you feel like the pics with her hand are… blurred? Or am I hormanl,’ asked @lizpwoods via Instagram Story on Wednesday.

She then proceeded to zoom-in on each party photo of Swift holding up a red cocktail with her left hand.

The fan pointed out that the area where a ring would sit differed slightly in tone from the rest of Swift’s finger.

Other fans began chiming in, with many choosing to believe that Swift is now an engaged woman.

Meanwhile, others questioned why Swift, if she is actually engaged, wouldn’t ‘take off’ her ring while taking photos.

In a screenshot of an iMessage exchange shared to her Instagram Story, @lizpwoods speculated that Kelce may have popped the question during Swift’s birthday celebration.

‘Because wearing an engagement ring after getting engaged at a party celebrating you sounds like the most perfect night ever,’ she wrote.

Swift has been dating Kelce, a celebrated Chiefs tight end, since summer 2023 and they’ve faced repeat engagement rumors since going public with their romance.

The couple were forced to shutdown speculation in October after Monday Night Football commentator Troy Aikman accidentally referred to Swift as Kelce’s ‘missus’ on the air.

‘It’s not true and the recent erratic and unfounded speculation on this couple is just proving that media and overzealous fans do not know what’s going on with them and shouldn’t make wild assumptions based on zero facts,’ a source close to the couple told TMZ.

But chatter about a potential proposal picked back up earlier this month after a source dished to Us Weekly that Swift would ‘love to be engaged’ but the couple ‘aren’t rushing it.’

‘Taylor does feel like Travis is The One, but jumping in is not her style. That’s just not how she does [things]. Marriage is a big deal, and she wants [it to be] forever,’ the source explained.

Meanwhile, another insider told PEOPLE that things between Kelce and Swift are ‘serious’ and that he makes her ‘very happy.’

Swift, who wrapped her record-breaking Eras Tour on December 8 after nearly two years on the road, is said to be ‘looking forward’ to spending the holidays with Kelce, according to the outlet.

Swift rang in her 35th birthday on Friday, December 13 and, despite having to play a game just two days later, a source told Page Six that Kelce made it one to remember.

The Anti-Hero hitmaker was ‘showered in gifts’ from the football player, who also gave her ‘countless roses.’

Kelce ‘went out of his way’ to ensure everything was ‘perfect’ for the bash, which is said to have taken place last Friday.

The insider revealed that Travis ‘hired a private chef and bartender to cook and make cocktails for them. He had his gifts delivered beforehand so they would be a surprise.’ The athlete also ‘had jewelry engraved especially for Taylor.’ 

While at the bash the Super Bowl winner ‘couldn’t take his eyes off the billionaire beauty and he thought she looked exquisite.’ 

The insider said that Kelce made the choice to have a more ‘intimate party with Taylor’ over a large gathering, believing it would be more ‘meaningful’ and allow them to have ‘one-on-one time.’

‘Taylor and Travis are always surrounded by a ton of people so it was really important that this celebration be different for Taylor,’ the source shared.

The bash was ‘decorated beautifully’ with flowers ‘everywhere’ according to the insider.

‘This was a night they’ll always remember and it went off without a hitch,’ the source added. 

Many fans believe that the photos Brittany Mahomes shared to Instagram on Wednesday were taken at Swift’s birthday bash.

The soiree appeared to have an Eras Tour theme as Mahomes and Chiefs WAG Lyndsay Bell both rocked outfits resembling Swift’s stage outfits.

Mahomes’ husband Patrick also notably sported a tuxedo and top hat that’s famously worn by Swift’s male backup dancers on tour.

Meanwhile, Brittany channeled Swift’s Fearless era in sparkly boots and a silver fringe dress. 

The influencer captioned the IG post: ‘My people [hand-heart emoji]’

It seems all partygoers followed the Eras Tour theme, with Swift’s pal Ashley rocking a stuffed snake around her neck in an homage to Swift’s 2018 album Reputation.

Bouquets of flowers, feather boas, and iconic Eras Tour friendship bracelets filled the party space.
