A twisted man followed a woman into a Louisiana Target before allegedly raping her in the parking lot, according to police.
Donnie Lee Stevenson, 18, allegedly sexually assaulted a woman outside the store after following her inside, holding her at gunpoint, and forcing her into a red Honda Accord on Thursday around 7.30pm, Wbrz reported.
Stevenson was caught on CCTV footage walking into the Target in Hammond just before he snatched the unnamed woman and took her outside.
Afterward, he allegedly made the victim drive back to the store where she informed people of what happened and called the police.
Stevenson was on the run for about two days as cops later discovered he stole the red sedan seen in the footage from the nearby town of Independence before heading to Target, according to Hammond Police Chief Edwin Bergeron.
The police posted images of Stevenson to Facebook, asking locals for their help finding him.
‘HPD is actively searching for Stevenson in Independence. Do NOT approach the suspect if seen,’ the department said alongside an image of him.
On Saturday evening, the police caught Stevenson after they received a tip that someone spotted him in Independence.

When officers with the Hammond Police Department arrived at the scene they found the suspect in the red car.
Stevenson then hopped out and ran into a nearby wooded area, but he was later nabbed by police near Mashon Road, WBRZ reported.
He was seen in ripped and dirty clothing as two police officers held him up with his hands and feet handcuffed.
A video of his arrest showed several officers with the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office surrounding him as he stumbled toward the patrol car with leaves in his hair.
Bergeron told the outlet he believes Stevenson followed other women in the store before he chose the victim.
Stevenson was booked into Tangipahoa Parish Jail, arrest records show. The victim’s condition is unclear.

A similar incident took place in March 2022 when a Miami man allegedly ran up behind a female shopper at Walmart, ripped her clothes off and attempted to sexually assault her.
Bredan Harvey, 28, of Miami Gardens, carried out the assault on the stranger in a Miami Dade store while the victim was shopping, police said.
Harvey allegedly pulled up the woman’s dress while she perused the supermarket’s aisles, then grabbed her buttocks.
The stunned shopper turned to face her attacker, only for the pervert to push her to the floor before grabbing at her thighs and underwear.
She screamed for help, and managed to summon help from nearby shoppers.
Customers inside the store quickly reacted and immediately attempted to pull Harvey off the victim.
He was charged with sexual battery and was ordered to stay away from the victim and the Walmart store, before being given a $50,000 bond.
