LANA singer, multiple Grammy winner and icon of MY LIFE Solána Imani Rowe, famously known as SZA, is officially tired of all the online trolls who comment on her body, stating it’s the reason why she’s no longer comfortable with internet interactions.
Fresh off the release of LANA, the deluxe version of her chart-topping album SOS, SZA has been celebrating her successes with fans online.
Amid all the celebrations and widespread praise of her latest project, it appears that some trolls decided to take the time to tear down the singer for her looks.
It all kicked off when one SZA fan page shared an old video of the “Another Life” singer, where she was singing during the 2020 Covid-19 quarantine.
“I miss this era so much,” the fan wrote in the X (formerly Twitter) post, which has now been deleted.
While the post was supposed to be a sweet throwback moment — and was originally met with positive comments — some netizens chose to comment on SZA’s changing appearance, with one commenter penning, “aka before she got big and bbl culture like”.
Soon after the comments were made, SZA clapped back from her personal account, calling out the troll and revealing its comments like this that make it hard for her to interact with fans.
“Y’all say weird shit like this and wonder why I’m different and don’t feel comfortable w yall anymore. Lol,” the CTRL singer wrote.

The R&B songstress continued by clarifying what she meant by “I’m different”, referring to how she acts online rather than a difference in her appearance.
“Y’all do realise I mean different as in I don’t go on live + talk and don’t communicate w yall like that anymore lmao not different as in change my appearance TF,” she added.
Elsewhere in the thread, the “20 Something” singer elaborated on her experiences in quarantine and the obstacles she faced during the pandemic.
“Covid was hard… My granny had just died… I was hella depressed and masking. Not eating. Over working out. but I always had my childhood home to and get lost. Still do. Grateful to be in a much better mental space now,” she wrote.

SZA has previously been open about her previous surgeries, admitting to getting a Brazilian Butt Lift in 2022. However, it appears to be a procedure she regrets, telling British Vogue in 2022 that she is “so mad” she “did that shit”.
Regardless of the singer being open about what she did or did not get, I just think we need to stop with all this body-commenting BS.
It’s no secret that these kinds of comments are detrimental to mental health and honestly, anyone should be able to get whatever surgery they want as long as they’re doing safely.
Like, besties, it’s almost 2025. Let’s stop commenting on women’s bodies!!!
