A woman has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries to her face after she was mauled by her dog in Sydney’s inner west.
The 47-year-old was attacked by her dog, believed to be a Saint Bernard-cross, at her home on Edith St, Leichhardt about 12.20am on Wednesday morning.
She was in a serious condition, with significant facial injuries and a deep gash on her arm.
‘The incident has been reported to the local council, who have commenced an investigation into the circumstances of the incident,’ NSW Police said.
