The BRICS summit kicked off today, Wednesday. In the Russian city of Kazan, with the participation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, whose work continues until tomorrow, Thursday

Russian President Vladimir Putin said in his speech during the opening session of the summit the necessity of achieving balance and maintaining the effectiveness of “BRICS,” noting that the grouping has great political and economic potential.

Putin said: “Joint work is a necessity among member states to maintain the balance and effectiveness of the BRICS grouping.” Today it comes under the slogan of “promoting multilateralism for just development and security.”

He added that Russia organized all these events in order to preserve the reputation of BRICS and enhance the group’s position in the world to deepen cooperation among the group’s countries.
