A stunning Los Angeles mansion, once owned by music icon Stevie Wonder and his ex-wife, has hit the market for an eye-watering $15 million.
The 74-year-old Grammy-winning singer secretly purchased the nearly 3-acre property without consulting his then-wife, fashion designer Kai Milla-Morris, as a romantic gesture, as reported by the Wall Street Journal.
‘He says, ‘I want to show you something,” Milla-Morris told the WSJ. ‘He had already purchased the house.’
Luckily for the ‘Superstition’ hitmaker, his bride approved of his multi-million dollar impulse buy and has continued living there even after Wonder moved out following their 2012 divorce.
Wonder, who has been blind since birth, reportedly first fell in love with the palatial Calabasas estate’s ‘incredible acoustics.’
He discovered how his voice echoed through its soaring ceilings during a visit about 25 years ago.
The six-bedroom Mediterranean-style mansion sits in an exclusive gated community and features a staggering 11,120 square feet of living space complete along with a gorgeous swimming pool.
Milla-Morris, who married the ‘Isn’t She Lovely?’ singer in 2000, said she’s now selling now that their two sons have grown up.

The musical power couple reportedly paid just $2.85 million for the property in 2000.
The asking price is a whopping 426 percent increase over their original investment.
Initially, the couple made minimal changes to the 1990s-built property, which is listed by Beverly Hills Estates.
‘As a young bride and a mother, I had no interest in doing anything to the house,’ Milla-Morris said. ‘I had to let them be kids. They’re going to mark the wall, put fingerprints everywhere. Just forget about it.’
But with their sons now aged 19 and 23, she invested at least $3 million during the pandemic to completely transform key areas of the residence.
The primary suite underwent a dramatic remodel.
It now features separate zones divided by a double-sided fireplace.
The kitchen was also gutted and now includes an enormous island crafted from two matched slabs of luxury marble.

‘It’s very big,’ Milla-Morris said. ‘I feel like this is the right time to venture out into a new space.’
After relocating from the East Coast, the newlyweds initially lived in luxury at Beverly Hills’ Peninsula Hotel for nearly a year while searching for the perfect family home.
‘It just had this incredible, timeless architecture and breathtaking surroundings,’ Milla-Morris said. ‘It was on its own little hill and had lots of space.’
The designer revealed their home was constantly filled with music during their marriage.
‘Steve, even the incredible musician as he is, he practiced every single day,’ she said.
The couple’s children also learned piano there.

Their children created what she described as ‘great jam sessions’ throughout the residence.

‘We have several pianos throughout the house that the kids learned on,’ she said. ‘Once they learned how to play, then they started playing on the Bösendorfer.’

One of these events included a Coachella-themed birthday bash with a Ferris wheel and food trucks.
At another event, guests were treated to the sight of a harmonica-playing elephant – the same animal that appeared in Jim Carrey’s hit film ‘Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.’
