The trend first took off on TikTok this spring, after content creator Terree Ann Marie revealed her trusty fragrance combination after being a stripper for ten years – and it’s been going strong ever since.
Terree’s go-to scent combo is $38 Vanilla Skin Body & Hair Fragrance Mist by Phlur ‘if you wanna smell like a sweet, creamy sensual grown vanilla’ layered with $96 Victor & Rolf Flower Bomb.
The former stripper said she gets compliments all night with the combination and joked that she smells like ‘make me the beneficiary to your will.’
In another viral video, Terree, based in Tennessee, told her followers, ‘As a stripper, I feel so qualified to tell you what scents you can spray to get men’s attention.’
She explained, ‘It’s warm. It’s soft. It’s sensual. It’s got that sweet soft-serve vanilla kind of kiss at the end of it.’
Phlur scents then became wildly popular on TikTok all year long, with creators nicknaming the body mist ‘stripper perfume’ and saying it needs a ‘warning label’ because it’s ‘the most sexy, adult’ scent.
In fact, ‘stripper perfume’ became a popular search on the social media platform, with creators weighing in with their favorite options.

The $19 Irresistible Sunshine from Amazon also topped the list of sweet smells dancers adored, with many content creators trying it out for themselves.
Like the Phlur scent, it also has a romantic vanilla flavor, but it boasts notes of salty caramel and sandalwood, as well.
On Reddit, the conversation continued – and vanilla scents reigned supreme.
In a Reddit thread, a user asked, ‘Sorry if this is a bit sordid, but I’m so curious – any exotic dancers reading this sub?’
They posed the question, ‘What is your perfume of choice you want people to smell while giving them a lap dance?’
Commenters quickly weighed in with Black Opium, Pink Sugar, and celebrity fragrances from Britney Spears and Ariana Grande all topping the list.
‘Stripper of 6 years,’ one woman wrote. ‘Current smells in the dressing room right now are Kayali Vanilla, Paris Hilton OG, and Sol De Janeiro.’
