Speaker of the Homat al-Watan Parliament in Parliament: We are pleased with the reduction in pretrial detention periods with the draft Criminal Procedure Code

MP Ahmed Bahaa Shalabi, head of the parliamentary body of the Protectors of the Homeland Party in the House of Representatives, confirmed that the discussions on the draft criminal procedure law amounted to a “legislative wedding.”

 

This came during His speech today at the plenary session of the House of Representatives, headed by Counselor Dr. Hanafi Jabali, while completing the discussion of the draft criminal procedure law in principle.

 

He said: Since the launch of the National Strategic Political Leadership for Human Rights And the Egyptian state is taking steady steps towards the file of rights and freedoms.

 

Shalabi pointed out that the subcommittee on preparing the draft criminal procedure law and its good formation succeeded, within 14 months, in having legislation Distinctive, and access to wording and details of interest to the Egyptian citizen.
