Apple TV+ has scored the global rights to the Spanish series You Would Do It Too (“You Would Do It Too”).
The eight-episode mystery from Legendary Television and ESPotlight Media will be available worldwide as an Apple Original series starting Wednesday, October 30. Following its two-episode premiere, a new episode will be released every Wednesday through December 11.
You Would Do It Too stars Cable Girls‘Ana Polvorosa, Berlin’s Michelle Jenner, The Plague’s Paul Miller and Money Heist’s Jose Manuel Poga.
The Spanish-language series takes place after an armed robbery on a bus near Barcelona results in the deaths of three robbers, detectives and former lovers are on a mission to uncover the truth behind the six witnesses’ inconsistent timelines before time runs out. As they navigate a world where perception often trumps reality, this lightning-fast thriller shines a spotlight on the importance of truth in today’s society and the lengths people will go to protect their version of it.
David Victori and Jordi Vallejo created and wrote You Would Do It Too, and Victori directed the series. Anxo Rodriguez is also an executive producer on the show.
The series’ cast includes Paco Tous, Ana Wagener, Elena Irureta, Mirela Balic, Xavi Sáez, Chechu Salgado, Viti Suárez, and Pilar Bergés.
Apple TV+ will soon premiere the medical drama Midnight Family, based on the documentary Familia de Medianoche, created for television by Gibrán Portela and Julio Rojas. Apple’s streaming service also has other Spanish-language series, like Eugenio Derbez’s Acapulco, The Bluesstarring Bárbara Mori, and Land of Women, starring Eva Longoria.
You Would Do It Too originally premiered on Disney+ in Spain in April 2023.
