Though the SS25 season seems to have only just ended – and our Halloween costumes are still in heaps on our floors – the fashion industry has already moved on, readying itself for the Holiday season to come. And what better way to celebrate Christmas than surrounded by family? That seems to be the reasoning adopted by Burberry this year, who’s tapped British-Nigerian artist Olaolu Slawn, his partner Tallula and their two young children Beau and Baby for its latest campaign ‘Wrapped in Burberry: Friends & Family’. Decked out in head-to-toe Burberry check, the London family pose in front of a Christmas wreath on a front door, and can also be seen in the British brand’s classic trench coat.
To complete the rest of its holiday campaign, Burberry has also enlisted Rivals stars David Tennant and Alex Hassell, who appear in some rather smart suits – but you don’t have to be a famous artist or thesp to appear in this shoot. Rounding out the campaign is Nebraska-based couple Drs. Herschel and Lilly Stoller, who were both picked to star in the campaign for their long-standing support of the brand, top clients of Burberry for the last 20 years.
Elsewhere in the Christmas ad universe, Alessandro Michele tapped Glen Luchford to lens his first Valentino campaign, featuring clothing from his bumper 171-look debut collection; actors Maya Hawke, Louis Partridge and Kelvin Harrison Jr are all set for Christmas dinner in Prada’s Willy Vanderperre-lensed shoot; Colin Jones and her fellow models strike a pose for Marc Jacobs; and Emma Corin gets festive in an embellished Miu Miu skirt set.
