Signing a memorandum of understanding between the Workers’ and National Rights Union to enhance the rights of Egypt’s workers

The General Union of Egyptian Trade Unions, headed by Abdel Moneim El -Gamal, signed a cooperation protocol with the National Council for Human Rights headed by Dr. Mushira Khattab, and in the presence of: Eid Mursal, the Secretary -General of the General Union of Egypt Trade Unions, Hisham Al -Muhairi, Vice -President of the Federation, and members of the Board of Directors Mohamed Hanafi, Chairman of the General Syndicate of Communications Workers, Mohsen Ashlah, President of the General Syndicate of Tourism and Hotel Workers. Abdel -Moneim Al -Jamal, President of the General Federation of Egyptian Trade Unions, The protocol is an important and fruitful step towards promoting and protecting human rights in Egypt, and that it is strategic cooperation between two ancient national edifices: the National Council for Human Rights, the guardian of the principles of human rights and their lofty values, and the General Union of Egypt Trade Unions, the legal representative and the strong supporter of a large segment of the people of this country, and they are the workers of Egypt Loyalty.
& nbsp; Al -Ittihad: The signing of this protocol reflects a common awareness of the pivotal role that workers play in the comprehensive and sustainable development process in our country, and from this standpoint, protecting their rights and ensuring a safe and fair and fair work environment is not just a legal or moral responsibility, but rather an inevitable necessity to achieve progress and prosperity for all. A culture of human rights among workers and employers, through training programs, workshops and joint awareness materials. For the conditions of human rights in the places of work, joint work to address any challenges or violations that may arise, and to enhance social dialogue between the three parties to production (government, employers and workers) in a way that serves the interest of the country and achieves a balance between rights and duties. Complaints related to workers ’rights and work to find effective and fair solutions to them, empowering working women and ensuring that they obtain all their rights and provide a supportive work environment for them. It relates to the rights of workers, thanks and appreciation to all those in charge of this protocol from both sides, for their sincere efforts and their belief in the importance of joint work, stressing the full commitment to activating the items of the protocol and turning its goals into a tangible reality that serves the interest of the country and the citizen.
