Empire Studios, 8th Law Pictures, and Everly Entertainment Production have revealed a major cast expansion and unveiled first looks for their upcoming yuletide action-comedy “Jingle All The Slay” as the film launches worldwide sales.
Joining the previously announced Nick Sagar (“The Princess Switch” trilogy) and Ricky Norwood (“EastEnders”) are Julio Cesar Cedillo (“Sicario“), Adam Korson (“This Is Us“) and U.K. soap star Montana Manning (“Hollyoaks”).
The casting also includes Florence Hall (“The Princess Switch 2 & 3”), Eloise Lovell Anderson (“Villain”), Mark Fleischmann (“Being Human”), Vas Blackwood (“Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels”), Gabriela Ochoa Perez (“FBI”) and Tim Cullingworth-Hudson (“Prizefighter”). Bradley Stryker (“Terrifier 3”), who also directs, rounds out the cast.
“We mashed up the tone of ‘Home Alone’ with fight sequences of a ‘Rush Hour’ calibre film — and we created what we believe is going to be a family Christmas movie that can be enjoyed for many years to come,” Stryker told Variety. The multi-hyphenate filmmaker added, “Jingle is a testament to indie at its best — a team of creatives got together with a goal of making a highly entertaining Christmas movie; and dare I say, what we created exceeded all expectations.”
The film follows hitman Hank Carter’s desperate attempt to save his marriage with a perfect family Christmas, complicated when a gang of holiday-themed bounty hunters targets him for a lucrative payday.
Cedillo, who plays the character Mordecai, reconnected with Sagar after their time together on USA Network’s “Queen of the South.” “I had one of the most gratifying experiences working on ‘Jingle All The Slay’ thanks in part to a well-written script honoring classic Christmas comedies from the past,” Cedillo said. “We had the added benefit of being guided through it all by our ridiculously talented director. He is literally an actor’s director.”
The project marks a creative collaboration between Stryker, who directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Charley McDougall (“The Reckoning”) and star Sagar. The producing team includes Jamie McLeod-Ross (“The Reckoning”), McDougall, Sagar, and Stryker, with Arthur Corber executive producing.
“This was an absolute blast to make,” said writer-producer Charley McDougall. “‘Jingle All The Slay’ is a total throwback to those classic ’90s flicks we all grew up loving. We’ve combined the high-octane action of a ‘John Wick’ movie with the wackiness of ‘Home Alone’ — and we feel like we’ve created something truly unique. This isn’t just a one-off; it’s the start of a franchise that can live long past this first encounter.”
Behind the camera, Simon Stolland (“Marching Powder”) serves as director of photography, with Mark Keady (“The Tourist”) handling editing duties. Jack Peter Mundy captured on-set stills.
For Sagar, the film represents a career milestone. “Stepping into a producer role for the first time in 2024, firstly with a short with my partner and now with ‘Jingle,’ it has been an incredible journey,” Sagar said. “From the start, I wanted ‘Jingle All The Slay’ to have real heart and family values alongside all the Christmas chaos. For me, this is more than just a holiday film — it’s a chance to explore new ground, blending classic holiday spirit with thrilling action in a way that feels fresh and exciting.”
McLeod-Ross highlighted the personal significance of the project: “Growing up with Nick Sagar, we always dreamed of working together and making movies. To finally make that happen — and with such a special, feel-good, family-fun flick — we’re incredibly proud. We can’t wait to share the chaos and fun with the world.”
“Jingle All The Slay” is currently in post-production targeting a Christmas 2025 release. The producers are planning to sell the film at the Cannes Film Market in May.
