A fired-up shopper has unleashed on an ‘outdated’ double standard after she spotted a set of scales in the women’s bathrooms at a shopping centre.
Melbourne woman Shani Chantel claimed the scales had been placed in the entrance to the female toilets but not in the men’s at her local Westfield.
‘Abolish immediately Westfield,’ she captioned a video shared to TikTok.
‘Why the f*** is there one of these in the women’s bathrooms but not in the men’s,’ she said in the clip.
‘The f*** is that supposed to mean…’
Some viewers were equally outraged by the scales.
‘I would legit move it to the men’s,’ one woman commented.
‘At least put it in the communal area,’ another said.

‘They still have these?’ a third asked.
One shopper suggested the scales were outdated.
‘Omg those things have been around forever too! I thought they would have (got) rid of them by now,’ she wrote.
But others said they didn’t see the problem with the scales.
‘It’s not that deep,’ one said.
‘Why [are] so many people bothered by every little s*** that doesn’t affect their life? Ignore it and just go on with your business,’ a second agreed.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Westfield for comment.
