Shock twist after Adelaide mum stormed a St Paul’s College classroom to confront her daughter’s alleged bully

A mum who was filmed allegedly threatening to harm her daughter’s classmates will  be ordered to face court.

The Adelaide woman barged into a classroom earlier this month and allegedly threatened to ‘slit’ a 12-year-old girl’s throat after bullies told her daughter to hang herself.

Despite being 20 weeks pregnant, she allegedly confronted her daughter’s bullies in a foul-mouthed tirade at St Paul’s College in Gillies Plains on February 3, just days after classes resumed for the first time in 2025.

The mum confirmed to Seven News last week that she had been contacted by police but had not yet been interviewed.

Following extensive investigations, South Australian Police confirmed on Tuesday that a Para Vista woman, 31, has been ‘reported’ for assault.

This means the woman is free to go about her day-to-day life until she receives a summons to appear in Adelaide Magistrate’s Court at a later date.

Footage of the alleged incident showed the woman being held back by two men – one of whom was reportedly her husband – as shocked Year Eight students watched on.

‘You ever f****** mess with my daughter again, I’ll slit your f****** throat,’ the woman screamed.

‘You want to f****** go b***h? You want to f****** go? You ever f****** talk to my daughter again.

‘I’m your f****** nightmare b***h… I’ll slit your f****** throat. I’ll be waiting for you.’

The mother has since apologised for her actions.

She later appeared on Kyle and Jackie O radio program to share her side of the story.

‘Our daughter was bullied immensely, probably for over 12 months… She had come home and she fell into my arms on the floor and said “mum, I cannot do this anymore, what is the point of living?”,’ she said.

The mother added she’d gone through ‘the right channels’ before confronting her daughter’s alleged bully herself, but received no help.

The woman’s family have stood by her.

One relative told Seven News last week they believe any charges she may potentially face are deeply unfair and blamed the school for failing to protect the woman’s daughter.

St John’s College principal Patrick Harmer at the time of the alleged incident assured parents that the matter was being handled.

‘The college remains committed to its duty of care for all students and staff,’ he wrote.

‘We provide an environment where the safety and wellbeing of all is our highest priority. We will continue to ensure the best possible support for our students and staff during this time.

South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas also weighed in on the controversy at the time, describing the mother’s conduct as ‘indefensible’ and ‘mind-boggling’.

‘I don’t know what the circumstances were that led the parent to say those things, but whatever they were, they do not condone or justify those remarks in any circumstance whatsoever,’ he said.

‘How do you possibly rationalise that behaviour, how does anyone in their own mind justify or rationalise that behaviour?’
