Sherif Fathi, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, will participate tomorrow in the activities of the 43rd session of the International Tourism Exhibition WTM London 2024, which will be held from 5 to 7 November in the British capital, London.

For his part, Sherif Fathi stressed the importance of participating in this exhibition as it is one of the most important professional tourism exchanges in the world and one in which Egypt, represented by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, is keen to participate annually, especially in light of the British market being one of the most important tourist markets. The Minister appreciated the importance of the official Egyptian tourism presence in such international tourism forums and events, which contributes to holding a number of important official and professional meetings to discuss ways to Strengthening joint cooperation and getting to know more closely the marketing and promotional demands and proposals of tour operators and various airline companies in a way that contributes to driving more incoming tourist traffic to Egypt from the targeted tourist markets.
It is scheduled to During this visit, Sherif Fathi will hold a wide range of official meetings with his counterparts from Arab and European countries, in addition to a group of professional meetings with tour operators and airline companies in the British market, in addition to holding a press conference and a number of media and press meetings.
On the sidelines of the exhibition activities, the Minister will participate in the activities of the Ministerial Summit organized by the United Nations Tourism Organization in cooperation with the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC).
The Ministry, represented by the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, participates in the activities of this exhibition with a pavilion of 800 square meters, which includes (80) participants, including 38 tourism companies and 38 hotels, in addition to two airline companies: Air Cairo and Nesma, in addition to the participation of The Red Sea Governorate and the Cultural Tourism Preservation Association.
It should be noted that the WTM International Tourism Exhibition is attended by major tour operators and tourism and travel agents from various countries of the world, which This makes it a major platform for meeting decision-makers in the field of tourism and travel, and a large number of professionals and specialists around the world.
Last year, the exhibition witnessed the participation of about 43,000 participants from 184 different countries. around the world, an increase of 23% compared to 2022, in addition to significant media coverage during its holding period. It is intended to increase the number of participants in this year’s session compared to last year.
