Continue, today, Sherif Fathi, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, during his professional meetings during his current official visit to the Chinese capital, Beijing, with Yingwu Liu, Executive Vice President of Dalian Wanda Hotels and Resorts Group, one of the luxury Chinese hotel management companies.
< p>The meeting was attended by Ambassador Assem Hanafi, Egypt’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Amr El-Kady, CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, and Ambassador Khaled Tharwat, Advisor to the Minister for International Relations and General Supervisor of the General Administration of International Relations and Agreements at the Ministry.
 
During the meeting, the Executive Vice President of the Group reviewed the volume of the Group’s business in China and various countries, the date of its establishment, and the volume of its clients during the year that it receives in its various hotels and resorts, indicating the Group’s readiness to cooperate with the Ministry in tourism promotion of the Egyptian tourist destination. p>
The Minister began his speech during the meeting by reviewing the increase of more than 60% in incoming tourist traffic from the Chinese market to the Egyptian tourist destination compared to last year, pointing to the positive expectations for an increase in the numbers of traffic. Incoming tourism from China to Egypt by the end of this year, and the number of flights witnessing an increase between the two countries, whether directly or indirectly via other airlines.
He also reviewed Mr. Minister, investment opportunities and places available for investment in Egypt, especially in tourist areas, including the North Coast, the Red Sea, Sinai and other cities and tourist areas in Egypt, inviting Mr. Yingwu Liu to visit Egypt to learn about these investment opportunities on the ground, and to hold professional meetings. With professional partners in Egypt, including officials from tourism and hotel companies, to introduce them to Chinese culture and the requirements of Chinese tourists, and to discuss professional partnerships to push more tourist traffic from China to Egypt.
