Seth Rollins reveals WWE legend is ‘the reason’ he has a daughter with fellow wrestling star Becky Lynch
Seth Rollins has revealed that a WWE legend is ‘the reason’ he has a daughter.
Rollins, outside of the ring, is married to fellow WWE star Becky Lynch, having started dating the Irishwoman in January 2019 when they were both working in the company.
The duo had a daughter, Roux, less than a year later – December 2020 – before marrying in June 2021.
WWE fans have watched the duo’s journey closely over the last few years, given they were both active wrestlers in the company for a long period of time before forming their relationship and starting a family together.
Now, however, Rollins has given a descriptive insight into one part of his relationship with Lynch – their child. Speaking on Good Morning Football, he revealed that a WWE icon is the reason Roux was born.
That WWE legend is Stone Cold Steve Austin, who has been a prominent part of the company for a number of decades. And it appears, according to Rollins, that he is responsible for Lynch’s pregnancy – because she made the decision to have some time off that night.

‘My favourite Stone Cold story that I have ever been a part of… Stone Cold is the reason that I have a daughter,’ Rollins said.
He continued: ‘Flashback, March 2020. Everybody knows, Covid shuts down the world. First show in WWE post-Covid, 3:16 RAW. It’s customary for someone to drink with Stone Cold in the ring.
‘At the time, the hottest thing in professional wrestling, my lovely, incredible wife, the man, Becky Lynch, she happened to break open one, two, three, four cold ones with Stone Cold.
‘That night, she was like, “You know, I think it’s time I took some time off to have a baby”. I don’t know if she would have made that decision if it wasn’t for Stone Cold Steve Austin. So absolutely, hell yeah. Thanks Stevo.’
Lynch won the hearts of fans when she vacated her WWE title to go on maternity leave in May 2020, revealing the news live on WWE TV.
She made her comeback at SummerSlam in 2021 after 15 months away from the company.
Rollins also recently spoke on The Rock inviting his family to watch the premiere ofa film he was in.
‘He was kind enough to invite us to Hawaii to watch the premiere of Moana 2,’ he said. ‘So we got to see it on the lawn with the sunset in the background.
‘[Roux is] too young to remember it, but it was really an incredible experience for our family.’
