Senate: We are following with great interest proposals that promote the displacement of Palestinians

 The Senate has followed with great interest and careful analysis the proposals that have recently promoted the idea of ​​displacing Palestinians from their land, and in this context declares its categorical rejection of such proposals that violate international agreements and resolutions, and only lead to deepening the Palestinian tragedy and obstructing efforts aimed at achieving a settlement. Just and comprehensive for this just cause.

The Council also warns of the repercussions of these theses on efforts to stabilize the existing truce and achieve a permanent ceasefire. Because of the direct threat it poses to security and peace in the region.

 

The Senate reiterates its rejection of any measures aimed at Israel annexing lands from the West Bank, or separating the West Bank and East Jerusalem from Gaza Strip, as such movements constitute a direct threat to the liquidation of the Palestinian cause and are inconsistent with the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost of which is their inherent right to self-determination and the establishment of their state. The Senate stresses that finding a radical solution to the Palestinian tragedy is the real gateway to achieving peace and stability in the entire Middle East region, and from this standpoint, the Senate calls for the necessity of launching a serious political process. It aims to implement the two-state solution, ensuring that the Palestinians are able to extend their sovereignty over the Gaza Strip and over the entire Palestinian territory within the borders of June 4, 1967 and in accordance with the decisions of legitimacy.

 

Within the framework of Egypt’s firm belief that a just peace is the only way to achieve security and stability in the region, Egyptian efforts came in coordination to achieve a ceasefire agreement and the exchange of hostages and prisoners in Gaza. With Qatar and the United States, this agreement came at a historic milestone for the brotherly Palestinian people, who endured severe suffering amid deplorable international silence and a clear inability to confront this blatant violation of peace and security.

 

Based on Egypt’s well-established principles and historical positions in support of Palestinian rights, the Egyptian Senate affirms its adherence to the basic determinants of the settlement of the Palestinian issue, its steadfast support for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in their land, and its unreserved adherence to their rights. It can be acted upon in accordance with the rules of international law and international humanitarian law.

 

The Council also does not fail to praise the pivotal role it plays. The agencies concerned with Egyptian national security in managing the Palestinian file and advancing the paths of Palestinian-Palestinian consensus, reflecting a strategic vision that preserves the stability of the region and enhances Egyptian national security.

 

The Council affirms its permanent position. And the supporter of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in all the steps he has taken in order to preserve Egypt’s full sovereignty over its lands and its national security.
