During the celebration of the glorious October victories, the International Organization of Al-Azhar Alumni was keen to host a number of the most prominent heroes of the Glorious October War, who made sacrifices and heroism, especially during the war to liberate the precious land of Sinai, restore the dignity of the dear homeland, and showcase some of their eternal memories of their conscience and heroism. So that young generations can get to know her, during the activities of the Cultural Salon On “The October War and Egyptian National Security in Light of the Current Changes.”
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Abbas Shoman, Chairman of the Organization’s Board of Directors, Secretary General of the Council of Senior Scholars, and Major General Wael Bakhit Vice Chairman of the Organization’s Board of Directors.
The cultural salon hosted Major General Muhammad Al-Amir, one of the heroes of the glorious October War, one of the heroes of the missile wall, and the head of operations of one of the missile battalions in the October War, Major General Hamdi Bakhit, one of the heroes of the October War. The heroes of October also made it clear that the unity of the Egyptian people and their army achieved the clear victory, through the solidarity of all sects of the people and their fusion within the Egyptian army, in addition to the role of state institutions and agencies. In creating this victory, there was also the great role played by the state media institutions, through their participation in the plan of deception, activating national awareness, sharpening enthusiasm, and raising morale, through the national will of every individual in the country, and rejecting malicious rumours.
The October Heroes participants in the event pointed out that the most important lessons learned from the 1973 war is achieving an important element of the national will, which is realistic planning, based on accurate information, with how to overcome all complications, and the possibility Development, and this is what young people must learn about how to reach their goals and achieve success, which only comes with diligence, patience, and proper planning.
The participants also stressed at the end of the meeting, that The spirit of October, which made Egyptian soldiers conquer the impossible, is the spirit that we need today in facing challenges, and with it we overcome difficulties and achieve a bright future for generations. The spirit of October is the symbol of strength, and it is the guarantee of success in all fields of life, and it is still ingrained in the souls of Egyptians, through solidarity and work. Seriously, we will achieve Egypt’s appropriate status among nations.
For his part, Dr. Abbas Shoman, Chairman of the Organization’s Board of Directors, presented: Secretary General of the Council of Senior Scholars, thanked the distinguished guests, and asked them to continue the process of giving to rebuild awareness, and consolidate this great memory in the souls of young people by writing and recording the events of the glorious spirit of October, so that future generations may benefit from them.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the October heroes were awarded the organization’s shield, in honor of them and their special and unique heroism during this glorious epic.
