Sarah Ferguson looked festive as she read her new children’s book during a visit to a primary school in London today.
The Duchess of York donned suede green blazer and a black pleated skirt while visiting Surrey Square Primary School, which had been transformed into a Festive Wonderland.
The Caring Family Foundation (TCFF) hosted a heartwarming event to support children in need with festive entertainment and nutritious lunches provided by Bill’s.
The mother-of-two captivated the students with a reading from her new Christmas-themed children’s book Flora & Fern: Wonder In The Woods and even passed out cakes.
The 65-year-old former wife of Prince Andrew appeared in great spirits as she captured the children’s attention with her storytelling skills.
This event was part of TCFF’s Food From the Heart Campaign, which seeks to combat child poverty and food insecurity in the UK.
Volunteers from Richard and Patricia Caring’s hospitality businesses, including Bill’s and The Birley Clubs came together to make this day truly unforgettable for everyone involved.
According to the Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG), 900,000 school-age children in England living in poverty miss out on free school meals.

The Duchess of York – who previously revealed she used her writing as ‘an escape’ after two cancer diagnoses – dedicated her new book to her four grandchildren.
The Duchess told the Mail on Sunday previously: ‘I wrote Flora and Fern for my grandchildren and also my step grandson Wolfie. It is a special little story encouraging children to enjoy and respect nature and use their imagination to play.
‘The names Flora and Fern are chosen to encourage more understanding of how important nature is.’
She combined her roles as author and grandmother in the writing process, testing out storylines on her four grandchildren: Princess Eugenie’s son August, three, and younger son Ernest, one, along with Princess Beatrice’s stepson Wolfie, eight, and daughter Sienna, two.
A friend added: ‘Writing and being in nature are her twin escapes. Both have helped her through the difficult times of the last year as she’s had to deal with two cancer diagnoses.
‘She tries all her stories out on her grandchildren and she’s determined to create a little library for them to enjoy.’
The Duchess, who divorced the Duke of York in 1996, has recently been welcomed back into the Royal fold after bonding with King Charles over their cancer diagnoses.
By combining efforts across the hospitality sector and leveraging its platform, TCFF is actively raising funds, aiming to expand its reach and make a greater impact in the fight against child hunger and food insecurity across the UK.

Charity founders Patricia and Richard Caring posed up a storm with the school children
The Foundation also hopes to inspire other leaders in the hospitality industry to participate in similar activities, particularly around this festive season.
By the end of 2025, the Foundation has pledged to deliver a further one million meals through its Food From the Heart Campaign, ensuring no child goes hungry.
As a result, by the end of 2025, TCFF will have delivered more than 3.5 million meals across the UK and Brazil since 2020, demonstrating a lasting commitment to tackling food insecurity.
With 25 percent of Surrey Square Primary School’s students living in temporary accommodation and 84 percent belonging to families facing significant economic challenges, the initiative underscores the importance of ensuring every child has access to nourishment and joy.
As part of TCFF’s commitment to Surrey Square Primary School, funding will also support initiatives throughout the year, including weekly Youth Clubs offering children a nutritious hot meal, guidance on community, safeguarding building.
As well as the Monthly Market, which serves 350 visitors from local vulnerable communities with a range of services and activities that strengthen and celebrate community.

Patricia Caring, Co-Founder of The Caring Family Foundation said: ‘As we step into the festive season, we are reminded of the transformative power of kindness and connection.
‘It is so important to provide on-the-ground support, as part of our ongoing commitment to these children, in the hope that we can bring them moments of joy and a sense of togetherness.’
Matt Morden, Co-Head Teacher at Surrey Square Primary School said: ‘The children have been eagerly anticipating this magical day all week, and the joy it brings to them is truly priceless.
‘As staff, we recognise the deep significance of this moment, knowing it’s an experience many of these children do not often have.
‘We are grateful to have once again partnered with The Caring Family Foundation to create another unforgettable experience for our students, continuing this special event for another year.’
