The NFL and Taylor Swift are no longer mutually exclusive, as many fans discovered once the “Karma” singer’s relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end went public.
Ahead of Swift’s show at the Caesars Superdome, the New Orleans Saints welcomed the worldwide superstar with a massive friendship bracelet.

The friendship bracelet spelled out Swift’s name and hung across the entrance of the stadium.
The Eras Tour will have three shows in New Orleans from Oct. 25-27 at the Superdome. Meanwhile, Swift’s boyfriend will be competing in Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium against the Raiders on Sunday.

Since Swift will be in New Orleans, her army of fans won’t be able to see her supporting Kelce in the Chiefs’ divisional matchup in Week 8. Kelce also won’t get to make a cameo in this portion of The Eras Tour since he’s in the middle of the NFL season.
The recent post by the Saints is a testament to Swift’s impact in the NFL. Although she isn’t a player, she’s become a popular storyline throughout the season.
Ahead of Kansas City’s season opener against the Baltimore Ravens, the Chiefs security team had to prepare for Swift’s highly anticipated arrival. The influx she brings is quite jaw-dropping.
Swift’s romance with Kelce brought an entirely new fan base to the NFL. Her relationship with Kelce caused a 400 percent spike in the tight end’s jersey sales, according to Fanatics.
Kelce’s podcast with his brother Jason, “New Heights,” became one of the fastest-growing shows as a result of the relationship.
Last season Swift was a spectator of the sport, but ahead of the 2024 season, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes revealed Swift drew up plays for the team to use.
“She’s really interested in football, and she asks a lot of great questions. Started drawing up plays,” Mahomes said. “We might have to put one in.”
It’s been a trying season for the back to back Super Bowl champions. The Chiefs have lost several starters early on in the season, including running back Isiah Pacheco and wide receivers Rashee Rice and Marquise “Hollywood” Brown.
Despite losing three of their best offensive weapons, the Chiefs are the only remaining undefeated team in the NFL. Although Swift won’t be in attendance, here’s a high possibility that the Kansas City hot streak will continue on Sunday.
