Sabrina Carpenter fans baffled by her Madonna-inspired appearance on Vogue: ‘Didn’t recognize her!’

Sabrina Carpenter looked incredible on the March 2025 cover of Vogue magazine, rocking a Marilyn Monroe inspired look – complete with white blonde hair curls.

Some people took to the comments to state that she didn’t look like her, claiming that she looked ‘heavily edited.’

‘Couldn’t recognize her at first,’ another wrote.

‘Wow didn’t realize it was her,’ someone wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

She appeared to also channel Madonna, with fans taking to social media to talk about the uncanny resemblance.

Sabrina was also photographed by Steven Meisel for the Vogue cover – who has photographed Madonna on many occasions.

The pop star dazzled in a baby blue Dolce & Gabbana – another nod to Madonna – who famously rocked the silhouette during the 80s and 90s.

Others noted that she looks ‘great’ and that she is in ‘her Nonsense era but make it high fashion.’

The Madonna comparisons were a hot topic on social media, with many people calling the icon Sabrina’s inspiration.

‘Madonna took the substance and Sabrina Carpenter was created,’ one wrote.

‘Damn Madonna is really passed out in a secret hideout in Sabrina’s Bathroom,’ another joked.

Someone else reflected her career and her many successes, as well as her Disney roots.

Sabrina became a household name as an actress, starring in Disney Channel’s Girl Meets World from 2014 until 2017.

She sang the series’ theme song alongside Rowan Blanchard, her co-star on the show.

The pop star, 25, recently won her first Grammy award – and also collected a second Grammy as well – during the ceremony one week prior.
