Sweden’s Saab said on Monday it had won a 1.7 billion crown ($159 million) order from Germany for the modernisation and maintenance of its Taurus KEPD 350 cruise missiles.
Saab said in a statement the contract period is 2025-2035.
“The order includes significant system upgrades and modernisation to the German Air Force’s TAURUS missiles as well as a ten-year life cycle maintenance,” it said.
The Swedish defence equipment maker received the order from Taurus Systems, a joint venture between German missile systems company MBDA Germany and Saab, after Taurus Systems received an order from Germany’s defence procurement office.
