Russia is using Su-57 fighters and advanced Kh-69 missiles to escalate operations against Ukraine

Arab Defense Website, January 1, 2025: It was reported that Russia deployed its advanced Su-57 stealth fighters to carry out missile strikes targeting areas near the Ukrainian capital, Kiev. The strikes carried out yesterday included the use of new Kh-69 missiles, which hit sites in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, in addition to Kiev.

The Kh-69 is a Russian air-launched cruise missile with a speed of 1,000 km/h and a range of at least 400 km. The missile is characterized by its low radar signature, and is equipped with a warhead weighing 300 kilograms. It relies on inertial navigation systems, GPS and GLONASS satellites for guidance, and can fly at a low altitude of up to 20 meters above the ground, which reduces the possibility of being detected by radar. Additionally, it is equipped with an electro-optical seeker to enhance its accuracy.
