Russia closes the airspace to 36 countries

Russia has closed the airspace of 36 countries. The statement says the restrictions will affect all countries that have closed their airspace to Russia, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, Poland and others.

The European Union had decided to completely close EU airspace to Russia from February 28.

The document stated that any aircraft operated by Russian airlines or registered in the Russian Federation, as well as not registered in Russia, “owned, leased or otherwise controlled by any Russian individual, legal entity, organization or body is prohibited from” landing or take off or fly ‘over Union territory.
