Rural Coordination calls into question the monopoly of the FNSEA in the Gers

Kilograms of manure, tires and scrap metal dumped in front of the headquarters of a Danone factory. Tuesday, November 26, the Gers Rural Coordination put pressure on this site of the dairy products giant, which it accuses of importing cereals from abroad.

“Danone is today an importer (…), we ask it to work locally, that’s enough”declares Lionel Candelon, president of Occitanie rural coordination. For several days, the agricultural union has been stepping up its punchy actions and has not hidden its intention of wanting to exclude other union organizations from the territory: “What we want is to get rid of the FNSEA in the Gers, because today, they go against common agricultural sense”explains Lionel Candelon.

The FNSEA and Young Farmers control 95% of the chambers of agriculture. A quasi-monopoly which could falter after this mobilization.
