Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has revealed how he plans to ease new signing Patrick Dorgu into the team after handing the January signing his debut.
Dorgu came straight into the Man United starting line-up after completing his £29.4million move from Lecce last week.
The 20-year-old Danish international has been expected to provide competition in Man United’s problem left wing back position.
Speaking ahead of the match, Amorim told ITV Sport that Dorgu’s left foot would be useful for his side, while suggesting he would use him on both flanks.
‘He needs to start playing. He did very well this week,’ Amorim said.
‘We need the left foot, we can change sides for the wingers, it is important to how we see the game.

‘He is going to be nervous in the beginning so will try and be simple but he is talented.’
Dorgu started in the right wing back role for the FA Cup fourth round tie against the struggling Foxes, with Diogo Dalot continuing on the left flank.
Despite having broken into the Lecce team as a left full back, Dorgu has spent large parts of this season playing as a right winger prior to his move to Man United.
Dorgu had been one of Man United’s brighter players in the first half at Old Trafford, but was taken off at half-time with Amorim’s side trailing 1-0.
Amorim had also offered his backing for Kobbie Mainoo to play in a more advanced role in his side.
The England international has seen his position change in recent matches, operating as a No 10 in a recent Europa League tie, before playing as a false nine against Crystal Palace last Sunday.
‘Kobbie did very well in the last Europa League game. He can play near the striker with fewer responsibilities,’ Amorim said.
‘He is a different type of recovery without the ball and we like his one vs one with the ball.’

Man United are the current FA Cup holders, but Amorim stressed his side need to focus on improving match by match, rather than on a specific competition.
‘Our priority is to improve the next game, not focus on a competition. We want to win every one but like I said since I started here the goal is to win the Premier League that is the main goal,’ Amorim added.
‘We want to improve our performances, to show a performance for the fans especially.
‘We have to understand the game. Vs arsenal we understood every details and were really focused, we have to maintain that and understand we may have to suffer a little bit.’
