Revealed: The swanky five-star hotel that Man United boss Ruben Amorim has chosen as his new home… with rooms costing up to £4,000 a night!
New Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim is staying in a swanky hotel famous for its celebrity guests including superstars Rita Ora and Lady Gaga.
Amorim has a room at the five-star Lowry in Salford, Gtr Manchester, which is a short hop to United’s Old Trafford home.
The Portuguese coach has been driven from there first thing in the morning in a black people carrier to the Premier League giant’s Carrington training ground.
The 39-year-old is following in the footsteps of his friend and fellow Portuguese Jose Mourinho who stayed in the plush hotel for a staggering 895 days when he was United manager.
However it is unlikely Amorim will clock up a £500,000 bill like The Special One.
It is thought the former Sporting Lisbon boss has already started house hunting so he can bring his wife Maria João Diogo and their two sons to Manchester.

A United source said: ‘Amorim wants to get his family over and set up their own home.
‘The Hale and Bowdon area has been mentioned where his captain Fernandez lives and many of the players. It is just a short drive to the training ground.
‘He could move into Ten Haag’s old place or even Paul Pogba’s place. But he is in the Lowry for the moment. He has walked round the city a bit and had a coffee in a few of the cafes.
‘Perhaps he’ll bump into Pep Guardiola or even a few City players who have places nearby.’
The Lowry is on the border of Salford and Manchester with the city just a few minutes walk away.
It also has the most expensive hotel room in Greater Manchester with the Presidential Suite costing £4,000 a night.
It is loved by celebrities including Take That, Aussie singer Kylie Minogue, Alesha Dixon and Wicked star Ariana Grande.
The hotel was even the first in the UK to offer in-room facial aesthetic treatments for guests.

The 165-room Lowry is heavily used by United as the club block book tens of rooms a night before each home game.
Players each have their own double and United managers also often hold team meetings there.
Former manager Louis Van Gaal spent so much time there talking to his players that club officials regularly swept the hotel for listening devices.
Amorim drew his first game 1-1 against Ipswich Town on Sunday afternoon.
His side made a dream start at Portman Road after Marcus Rashford within 80 seconds of the kick-off courtesy of Marcus Rashford’s fifth goal of the season.
Amorim will be looking for his first victory as United manager against Bodo/Glimt on Thursday
But they were pegged back after Omari’s Hutchinson scored in the top corner with a superb equaliser.
His first post-match interview as head coach with Sky Sports was awkwardly interrupted by Ipswich fan Ed Sheeran pitchside after the draw.
The pop star came over to greet pundit Jamie Redknapp and then said: ‘I don’t think he (Amorim) wants to speak to me’.
The new United head coach was left unimpressed as he shook his head, with Sheeran then adding, ‘I love being back in the Premier League’.
