Renewing the cooperation agreement between SDF and the French embassy

Within the activities of the historical visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Egypt, Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Mr. Philip Babetst, Minister of Higher Education and Research in France witnessed the signing ceremony of the renewal of the cooperation agreement between the Science, Technology and Innovation Finance Authority & LDQUO; STDF & RDQUO; And the French embassy in Egypt.

& nbsp; Egyptian and French universities, hosted by Cairo University, under the patronage of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Mr. Philip Babetet, Minister of Higher Education and French Research, and with the wide participation of the leaders of higher education and scientific research in the two countries. For Scientific Research Affairs, Dr. Rasha Kamal, Head of the Central Administration for International Cooperation, Dr. Hisham El -Deeb, Head of the Electronics Research Institute, and Dr. Yasser Mustafa, Director of the Petroleum Research Institute, as well as representatives of Egyptian and French universities and research centers. Such as: Health, Agriculture, Food, Energy, Engineering Science, Information and Communications Technology. The Minister indicates that the scientific partnership between Egypt and France is a model for constructive cooperation in facing common challenges, foremost of which is climate change, food security, and clean energy, explaining that these initiatives enhance Egypt’s position as a regional center for innovation. The new stage of cooperation will provide greater opportunities to finance distinguished projects based on the priorities of both sides, and contribute to building the capabilities of young researchers, and enhancing the role of scientific research in addressing societal and development challenges. And the international partnership, which comes within the main axes of the authority’s strategy, which is based on supporting excellence, competitiveness, and sustainability in the science, technology and innovation system.
