Removing 80 tons of waste from canals and drains in the village of the landfill in Sahel Salim and Al-Duwair in the Sidfa center

Major General Dr. Hisham Abu Al-Nasr, Governor of Assiut, stressed the continuation of disinfecting and raising the outputs of canals and drains in villages and hamlets located on the sides of canals, drains and waterways at the governorate level in order to preserve the environment and public health of citizens and prevent the spread of diseases, pointing to the necessity of uniting and consolidating all efforts among the executive agencies to improve all Services provided to citizens in various sectors, including quickly dealing with accumulations of waste and garbage after removing the disinfection products, indicating that work is being done to organize more Awareness campaigns on the importance of preserving waterways and not throwing garbage and waste into them, as this is dangerous to public health, especially for those living in front of and within these canals and drains.

The Governor of Assiut explained that the local unit of the center and city of Sahel Selim, headed by Abdel Latif Abdel Moneim, head of the center, has intensified the work of removing the results of disinfecting canals and drains to raise the efficiency of roads and to preserve the cleanliness of the environment and prevent the spread of diseases, as more than 50 tons of waste from drains and canals were removed in the colony area in the village. The landfill in the local unit in Al-Aounah, under the supervision of Farghali Muhammad, Vice President of the Center, Jamal Sayed, Head of the Local Unit in Al-Aounah, and solid waste management in the center. The unit also implemented The local center and city of Sidfa, led by Mamdouh Gabr, head of the center, launched a campaign to complete the removal of garbage and waste from Ibrahim Hussein Road on the Nile Trad Canal in the village of Al-Duwair, Nag Al-Atefi, and approximately 30 tons of waste were removed.

The Governor of Assiut noted that the campaigns were carried out using mechanical campaign equipment in the two centers (loaders, containers, cars of local and rural units) in coordination with the Irrigation Directorate, agricultural associations and local rural units, indicating the need to intensify efforts to ensure that water reaches the end of the canals in appropriate quantities and to preserve agricultural land. .
