  Pomegranate is one of the most important fruits that many citizens love inside and outside Egypt, as some governorates are famous for growing, producing and exporting pomegranates to Arab and international markets. There are many types of pomegranate tree varieties spread throughout Egypt, including the Manfaluti pomegranate and the pomegranate. Camel tusk, pink, girlish, Hijazi, country, yellow, black, and Granada pomegranates. These varieties represent a source of happiness. For lovers of this fruit that is beneficial to human health, especially since it has many benefits, including improving athletic performance, because pomegranates contain nitrates that improve blood flow. Preventing anemia and reducing its symptoms, because it contains vitamin C and antioxidants.. For the first time, the pomegranate crop was exported by coding several pomegranate farms in Assiut with the new GPS system and placing them on the new coding system used by the agricultural quarantine through satellites, which contributes To avoid the defects of manual coding, to be more accurate in inventorying export farms and to prevent duplicate coding.  

One of the largest pomegranate farms in the Badari Center, the cultivated areas reach more than 6,000 acres distributed over the entire center and the villages of the center. For a long time, pomegranates have become an important crop for the center and for the farmers, as it generates a large income in each of its seasons.  

Engineer Mahmoud Sobhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture in Assiut, said that the pomegranate orchards in the governorate receive great attention from the state because of their high quality in global markets and contribute significantly to saving hard currency and providing job opportunities for young people during the season. Plural.  

Beheira Governorate is the only governorate in the republic that has two agricultural directorates, one in Damanhour and the other in Nubaria. The cultivated area of ​​pomegranates in the two districts is  44 thousand and 666 acres, with 42 thousand acres in Nubaria and 2666 acres in Wadi El Natroun and Hosh Issa. Abu Homs, Kafr Al-Dawwar, Al-Dalingat, and Itay Gunpowder and the use of the latest agricultural methods led to an increase in per-acre productivity and product quality.   

Engineer Hossam Mahfouz, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture for New Lands in Nubariyah, confirmed that the most important pomegranate varieties are “ “Wonder Bean”, which is one of the desired types for export, in addition to pomegranates of type 116, and the Manfaluti pomegranate, whose cultivation is widespread in Upper Egypt, especially in the center of Manfaluti, pointing out that the productivity of an acre reaches 15 to 20 tons, suitable for export.
