Rapper Bow Wow warns Travis Hunter about fiancée Leanna Lenee amid old twerk video controversy

Rap artist Bow Wow has joined the masses advocating for Heisman winner Travis Hunter to break up his fiancée Leanna Lenee.

Hunter became the second Colorado player in history to win the award and the first two-way player to be crowned since Charles Woodson in 1997.

However, Lenee has been at the center of headlines for her behavior throughout the Heisman festivities in New York City.

Furthermore, X user Poetik Flakko posted a picture showing Lenee and another man appearing to provocatively dance years ago. The same account posted screenshots of Lenee’s DM threads with other men, who she allegedly tried to hook up with while dating the Colorado star.

Amid the controversy, Bow Wow warned the projected No 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. What inspired his cautionary video was a post from the parody NBA account @TheNBACentel, which purportedly showed Lenee’s flirtatious comment on Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards’ Instagram page.

While the image was fake, Bow Wow stood firm calling for Hunter to break off his engagement.

‘I’ve been watching from afar,’ Bow Wow began. ‘I was once young, about to make a lot of money, and I know how this s*** go. So I need you to hear me out. No. 1: I don’t want you feeling as though everybody’s jumping down your back or cats is hating. That’s that young n**** mentality. I want you to look at this like n***** care about you.’

‘All we are doing is waking you up, young brother,’ he continued. ‘Because if you don’t see what the f*** is going on, gang… If we don’t give a f***, we’d let you crash out, but from one player to the next… I’m not gonna tell you what you do but I want you to open up your eyes, man.’

‘There’s no reason why she’s commenting on another n****’s page… with heart eyes and the motherf****ng money tongue out,’ Bow Wow said of the fake interaction. ‘That’s your fiancée. Wake up, young brother. Fiancées don’t move like that… It’s like you’re so caught up in being in love. I don’t think this woman even loves you like that. You gotta watch the signs.’

Bow Wow also referenced a TikTok video in which Lenee explained how Hunter was not her ‘type’. She later clarified that the comment was not about his physical looks but alluded more to his character.

Lenee claimed that she ignored Hunter’s messages for about two months because he had a girlfriend at the time. However, Bow Wow did not let her explanation get in his way.

‘This woman said you weren’t even her type,’ he said in the video. ‘So what the f*** is keeping you here? You’re young, though, but you gotta ask some questions…. I want you to live your life,’ the rapper said.

‘You’re young, man. Do you know how much women are about to be thrown your way? You’re the Heisman Trophy award winner. Can’t no n**** give you advice better than me… I’m telling you from firsthand experience. Brother, there’s about to be so many women about to throw that thang your way, you won’t be able to turn it down.’

To end his remarks, Bow Wow urged Hunter to ‘snatch the ring back’ and zone in on what’s important.

‘It’s hard to build your s*** when you got a broad with you,’ he continued. ‘Bro, you in the media more for the broad than you is for winning the Heisman. Wake up.’

As their relationship continues to remain in the limelight, Hunter recently deleted his Instagram page after attempts to defend Lenee on social media backfired.

In the heat of the controversy, fans spotted a dollar-sign tattoo on Lenee’s left ring finger.

While Hunter has taken himself off the grid, his Colorado teammate Shedeur Sanders came to his defense.

‘All y’all athletes, entertainers, artist etc if y’all genuine trying to holla at trav y’all know how to get in touch with him or someone around,’ Sanders wrote on X.

‘At this point y’all just posting for the algorithm trying to look cool.’
