Ramah Wael, President of the Helwan National University Students Union

Helwan National University concluded the student union elections for the academic year 2024/2025 in an atmosphere of democracy and transparency.

 

The elections were held under the auspices of Dr. Sayyed Qandil, University President, Dr. Hossam Rifai. Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, under the direct supervision of Mr. Atta, Secretary General of the University.

 

The election results resulted in the victory of Rammah Wael Mahmoud. From the College of Human Sciences, Commerce and Business Administration, he was appointed President of the Union, while Mustafa Nasser Abdel Rady, from the College of Dentistry, was appointed Vice President of the Union.

The names were also announced: Secretary of the Senior Families Committee, student Basil Muhammad Mahmoud, College of Human Sciences, The Assistant Secretary of the Families Committee is the student Ruaa Hamdi Hamed at the College of Science.

The Secretary of the Technical Committee is student Mounir Muhammad Majed at the College of Human Sciences, and the Assistant Secretary of the Technical Committee is the student Salma Tariq Fathi at the College Applied Arts.

Secretary of the Sports Committee, student Mazen Mahmoud Awad, College of Computer Science, and Assistant Secretary of the Sports Committee, student Habiba Hani Abdel Rasoul, College of Science.

Secretary of the Cultural Committee, student Mai Abdullah Mahmoud, College of Science. Humanity: Assistant Secretary of the Cultural Committee, student Habiba Sami Issa, College of Applied Arts.

Secretary of the Traveling Committee, student Soha Sayed Ahmed College of Computer Sciences, and Assistant Secretary of the Mobile Committee, student Malak Mahmoud Muhammad, College of Engineering.

Secretary of the Social Committee, student Shatha Hadi Shaker, College of Health Sciences, and Assistant Secretary of the Social Committee, student Maryam Hassan Ali, College of Physical Therapy.

p>  The Secretary of the Scientific Committee is the student Youssef Ahmed Abdel Salam at the College of Engineering, and the Assistant Secretary of the Scientific Committee is the student Salma Al-Mowaffaq Hassan at the College of Applied Arts.

In his speech at the end of the elections, Dr. Al-Sayed Qandil stressed the importance of student activity with the same amount of attention. By education. He stressed the necessity of integration between knowledge, personality, and talents, considering that this integration represents an essential basis in building an integrated student.

Qandil directed the University Student Union Council to develop a comprehensive plan for activities, stressing the university administration’s commitment to providing all necessary support and capabilities. He also suggested creating an electronic application to receive student requests, suggestions, and complaints and facilitate communication between them and the university administration.

For his part, Dr. Hossam Rifai, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, explained that the university was keen to provide all means and mechanisms to hold transparent elections. And democracy, and he stressed that the role of the Student Union is to connect students with the university administration and colleges, and to support their colleagues through various academic and student activities.

These elections reflect the university’s keenness to enhance student participation and provide students with the opportunity to express themselves. For themselves and to choose their representatives freely and democratically.

The Higher Committee for Student Elections supervised the conduct of the electoral process, which was formed under the chairmanship of Dr. Hossam Rifai, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and the membership of: Mr. Atta, Secretary General. University, Dr. Manar Salim Fouda, faculty member at the College of Science, Dr. Elham Mansour Hassan, Legal Studies Program Coordinator and Legal Member, Mr. Mohamed Hussein Mohamed, Director of the Student Welfare Department, Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Ezzat, Director Legal Administration,  and the membership of two students, the student/ Shahd Tamer Muhammad from the College of Applied Arts, and the student/ Hassan Rami Muhammad from the College of Engineering
