Queensland Premier Steven Miles proves he’s Australia’s strongest politician with an INCREDIBLE act in the gym

Queensland Premier Steven Miles has proved he’s Australia’s strongest politician with an impressive bench press in the gym.

Mr Miles, 46, took to social media on Sunday afternoon to post a video of his strength workout.

He captioned the video: ‘By popular demand: 100kg bench press challenge with Jon Wyeth and the Wolf of Brisbane. Thanks for spotting, boys.’

Mr Miles says in the clip that his heaviest lift on the bench up until this effort was 85kgs, and then proceeds to bench press 100kgs.

‘Damn! That’s heavier than I can bench!’ posted one follower in disbelief.

‘That’s a Premier,’ commented another.

‘Big rig!! Respect,’ replied a third.

In March, Mr Miles divided Aussies after showing off his muscular physique while volunteering at a school’s working bee.

Mr Miles was snapped while carrying a garbage bin at Dakabin State School in his electorate of Murrumba, north of Brisbane.

While usually hidden underneath a suit during press conferences, his ripped physique was on full display with his biceps bulging out of his t-shirt.

Mr Miles, wearing a Brisbane Broncos hat and short, appeared in high spirits as he smiled from ear to ear as he carried a bin around.

The professional photo was uploaded to his Facebook page on Sunday.

‘P&C working bee at Dakabin State School this morning,’ the caption read. ‘P.S Go Broncs.’

Some social media users were left in envy at his apparent ‘thirst trap photo’ – while others accused him of turning an act of goodwill into a PR opportunity.
