President Sisi signs a law establishing the National Council for Education, Research and Innovation
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi signed Law No. 163 of 2024 establishing the National Council for Education, Research and Innovation.
The law included the establishment of a council called the "National Council for Education, Research and Innovation" The Council is affiliated with the President of the Republic, and its headquarters are in the city of Cairo.
The Council is formed under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister, and the membership of: the Minister of Defense and Military Production, the Minister responsible for planning and economic development affairs, and the Minister The Minister of Industry Affairs, the Minister of Interior, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Minister of Health, the Minister of Finance, the Minister of Labor, and the Minister of Culture. The Minister responsible for education, teaching and technical education affairs, the Undersecretary of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education, the Executive Director of the National Academy for Training and Qualification of Youth, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Technical Education and Vocational Training.
