President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived today, Wednesday, at the headquarters of the BRICS summit in the Russian city of Kazan, where he will participate in two working sessions within the framework of the summit activities, which began yesterday, Tuesday, and will continue until tomorrow, Thursday.
President Sisi will review, during the BRICS summit, Egypt’s vision and positions regarding a number of important topics and issues internationally and regionally, especially ways to enhance cooperation among the bloc’s countries to ensure the development of multilateral action and contribute to addressing the complex challenges the world is witnessing. Politically and economically, as well as reforming the global financial structure to achieve the desired balance, especially with regard to strengthening the voice and interests of developing countries in various international and regional forums, in light of the growing negative effects of international conflicts and crises on the development process of developing countries.
 
The BRICS group includes, in its membership, Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. BRICS was established in 2006 by Brazil, Russia, India, and China. South Africa joined it in 2011, and on January 1, 2024, Egypt, Iran, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Ethiopia became full members.
The Kazan summit will be the first to be attended by The new members of the Association, and representatives of more than 30 countries are expected to participate.
