President of the Federation of Mediterranean Chambers: President Sisi’s efforts supported the achievement of sustainable development of the Egyptian economy

President of the Federation of Chambers of Mediterranean Countries “Eskami” and President of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce Ahmed Al-Wakil praised the efforts made by Egypt under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. To strengthen the Egyptian presence on the global arena, which among its goals is to strengthen economic relations between Egypt and various countries of the world, including the Mediterranean countries, to achieve sustainable development of the Egyptian economy.

The agent said – in a statement to the Chamber of Commerce during the activities of the Mediterranean Economic Week. For economic leaders in its 18th session, which is currently being held in the Spanish city of Barcelona – these relations contribute to expanding the size of the market in the southern Mediterranean countries to reach about two billion consumers, stressing the need to benefit from the raw materials available in the Mediterranean countries as one of the most important industrial inputs to achieve industrial integration. He also stressed the importance of developing relations between the two parts of the Mediterranean Sea in various technological, financial and marketing fields. It is noteworthy that the Economic Week was organized by the Union of Mediterranean Chambers, whose membership includes more than 500 chambers of commerce and industry from 24 countries overlooking the Mediterranean, representing more than 28 million companies.

The week is held this year under the slogan “The Sea.” Which unites three continents: common goals”, by drawing a new road map, expands its horizons towards Africa and Asia and builds bridges of trade and investment with the regions and countries neighboring the Mediterranean. A distinguished group of experts and prominent leaders from the Mediterranean region and emerging markets participate in the week’s activities to discuss the current state of economies, challenges, and opportunities for growth and investment.
