Pope Francis said he learned in great pain about those killed during protests in Kazakhstan.
The Pope said during the traditional Sunday sermon to the faithful in St Peter’s Square at the Vatican
“I was in great pain when I learned of the victims during the protests that erupted in recent days in Kazakhstan. I pray to God for them and their loved ones. I hope as soon as possible to gain social harmony through dialogue, justice and the search for the common good.
It was reported that 164 people died during the riots, but this information was later denied. It is also known that 2,265 people sought medical help.
