Police investigating after body is discovered dumped by the side of a country road on Christmas morning
The body of a man has been found lying on the side of the road on Christmas morning.
An off-duty police officer found the body on the side of Martyville Road, in Martyville, near Innisfail, in Far North Queensland, around 5.20am on Wednesday.
A Queensland Police spokesman told Daily Mail Australia officers are investigating the incident.
‘Police are on scene of a located deceased man at Martyville Road,’ the spokesman said.

‘Forensic Crash Unit and Detectives from Innisfail have been advised and are investigating.
‘There is no further information at this time but investigations into the cause of death are ongoing.’
Police have urged anyone with information in relation to the incident or dash cam footage to contact Policelink on 13 14 44.
