The Local Administration Committee of the House of Representatives, in its meeting, chaired by Representative Ahmed Al-Sajini, discussed the briefing request submitted by Representative Amal Salama, regarding the failure of the Facilities Committee at risk of collapse in Ismailia Governorate to study the engineering condition of 30 properties in the Al-Ilam area, which belong to the well-known General Authority for Building and Housing Cooperatives. The representative also called for the existence of another engineering committee that would be neutral to review these properties, and indicate the extent of their need for restoration or demolition, so that After that, take the necessary measures, in a way that preserves the rights of citizens.

While Engineer Ahmed Al-Sajini, Chairman of the Local Administration Committee in the House of Representatives, asked about the owners’ relationship with these properties, as well as the occupancy rate.

From For his part, Engineer Ahmed Essam El-Din, Deputy Governor of Ismailia, responded, explaining that the total area of ​​this land is 6 acres, about 26 thousand square metres, indicating that the residents own the apartments, while they have no right to the percentage of the land.

For his part, Representative Ahmed Al-Sijini requested that the committee be provided with a report on this land, and a statement of the population quota and the occupancy rate.

Al-Sijini recommended that representatives of the people of the region be present to attend the meeting of the Local Administration Committee in the House of Representatives, which will be determined later, to hear their point of view. And discuss all the proposals with them.

The head of the Local Administration Committee in the House of Representatives said: It is necessary to establish a protocol between the Urban Development Fund, Ismaila Governorate, the Cooperative Authority, and others. It is possible that there is a real estate developer.

He announced that another meeting will be held to follow up on the committee’s recommendations in this regard, after a month has passed, calling for a coordination meeting to be held at the Ismailia General Office, which includes a representative of the Urban Development and Conservation Fund and the Cooperatives Authority.
