Parliamentarian: Rehabilitating those released reduces crime and contributes to building a safer and more stable society

The representative, Dr., confirmed that Hala Abu Al-Saad, Undersecretary of the Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises Committee in the House of Representatives, the importance of rehabilitating those released within the presidential and health amnesty decisions and others, which come within the framework of implementing the National Human Rights Strategy, responding to the recommendations of the National Dialogue, and using the constitutional powers of the political leadership led by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. In a way that enhances the positive, moral and tolerance spirit in society.

Representative Hala Abu Al-Saad said in a statement today that rehabilitation and keenness to reform The psychological and personal behavior of detainees contributes to supporting society with people psychologically and physically qualified to produce and support the national economy, and eliminates various forms of crime in effective and real ways, noting that this role is entrusted to all institutions, human rights organizations, and civil society associations, in addition to the role of the state and the Ministry of the Interior, in order to ensure the investigation  Justice.

The member of the House of Representatives suggested that businessmen and project owners should work alongside the state in establishing small, subsidized projects to provide various job opportunities for this category, in addition to paying attention to providing educational scholarships. for those released, and strengthening the role of the media in changing the stereotypical image of them, which has not and will not be achieved except by the government’s solidarity with civil society.

She continued, saying that the rehabilitation of those released from prisons is a systematic process aimed at restoring and enabling them to live. A productive life, reducing the recurrence of crime and building a safer and more stable society, by providing them with the necessary skills to integrate into society, and thus reducing their chances of returning to committing crimes, noting the need for rehabilitation programs to adopt, change criminal behaviors and develop skills. New things such as solving problems, making the right decisions, regaining their self-confidence and improving their self-image.
