Paris 2024 Olympics: the atmosphere at Club France "is extraordinary", "It’s a real success"welcomes its deputy president
The France Club is “a real success”congratulates its delegate president Nathalie Péchalat on Sunday, August 4, on franceinfo. The giant site installed in La Villette, in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, has become the essential party venue for supporters of French athletes during the Olympic Games. Nathalie Péchalat, a former ice dancer, describes a “great atmosphere” where they rub shoulders as well “families”only “sports enthusiasts” or some “simple neophytes”She prides herself on seeing a real “Communion” between the supporters. “Only the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will allow us to experience this,” she says.
This place can accommodate “at time T, 25,000 people”. And for over a week now, every day photos and videos of the Grande Halle full of people celebrating the French medals have been flooding social networks. “It started very, very strongly with the rugby 7s team and it hasn’t let up since then.”explains Nathalie Péchalat. This space of “55,000 square meters” East “open from 10am to 2am” every day.

Indeed, the judoka Teddy Riner, the rugby player Antoine Dupont and the fencers Manon Apithy-Brunet and Sara Balzer came to celebrate their medals within the Club France, each time with jubilant supporters and a real “popular fervor”.
The Deputy President of Club France is delighted to see that this place has become “the home of the French team” and “athletes are just waiting” to be able to come there. “It’s a crowd bath that is extremely positive and exciting”she adds.
