“I had nine crazy days”reacted Léon Marchand after his last medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Sunday August 4, at the microphone of the Sports Directorate of Radio France. The French team, led by the quadruple Olympic champion, won the bronze medal in the 4x100m medley relay.
“Being in a team is a different flavor, we simply share it and we did it together, it was so good”the swimmer believes.
To win his four gold medals and one bronze, Léon Marchand took part in six events. “I managed to be very focused on what I had to do, race after race”he explains, acknowledging that “It was a bit of a marathon” for him. The Olympic swimmer claims he has “had a great time” and that he will “remembering everything that happened and especially this relay on the last day”.
